A bit of background
Our lake community began in 1965 by the damming of the St. Joe River creating a 270 acre All Sports Lake Community. Currently Lake Seneca has 1,417 lots, some of which are still available. Although most of the lake front lots have been purchased and developed we offer several off water lots that have deeded lake access. So wherever you live here, you are only a short walk or golf cart ride away from enjoying our lake. Recreational areas have been created around the lake with dock rental available for those not on the lake front and are offered on a first come first served basis.
Our private beach area provides a 600' sandy beach, shaded areas, playground equipment, volleyball, a basketball and pickle ball court as well as a large open air pavilion that is available for rent to our community members. Also located just up from the beach is the Compass Café & Store and they are OPEN to the PUBLIC! You will find great food, grocery items, beer, wine, and great conversation. Stop in and enjoy a spirited beverage as they have a full menu and bar available.
Our Lodge is the meeting place for our Annual Members Meeting as well as Monthly Board Meetings. Join us for a Monthly Potluck that is hosted by the Beautification Committee! This is where we invite new members to meet their neighbors and for everyone to get to know each other. The lodge is also available for rent by members for graduation, birthdays, baby showers, or any other event you may have. The lodge is air conditioned, has a small kitchen area, small sound system, as well as plenty of parking and is located directly across from the beach.
Lake Seneca Property Owners Association, LSPOA, operates the lake on a modest budget. Volunteers, including all board members and trustees, manage the lake and surrounding areas. Our volunteers help to keep our costs down to make it more affordable to live here. Our private boat launch is only accessible by our community members, therefore, our lake is not overcrowded. Our lots are spacious and lake traffic is moderate with minimal traffic during the week.
Wildlife is abundant...Eagles, Fox, Geese, Deer, and Blue Heron are just some of which you may see here while either on the lake or enjoying a little hike through the nature trail.
Golf carts are welcome! Golf carts and UTV's, as well as many other motorized vehicles are welcome here. We simply ask that you stay on the roadways and follow the posted speed limits and obey traffic laws.
In order to maintain our lake area and its beauty we have By-Laws, Deed Restrictions, and Rules that are available on our website or at the office.
